over punched knock outs
These 4 "square" boxes are inferior to the more expensive ones. (You get what you pay for) 1) They are NOT exactly square 2) The KO's are over punched I feel that I cheat my customers when I install these boxes at their site.

I don't know why I keep going back to these boxes but they are garbage. I give it 2 stars because at least the welds hold, but they aren't welded all that well. Most boxes in a case are bent so badly that the only way to get a plate level is to 45 the 8-32s. At least then you can get a straight plate even if the boxes are crooked and bent. I want to be able to use my box as a framing square. This is one seriously warped up box. But the biggest problem is with the eccentric KO's. In many cases knocking out the 1/2" will break the 3/4" loose. This is OK if you plan for it, but don't plan on using the 1/2" within a 3/4", especially with MC. We shouldn't anyway, but especially with these boxes. This brings up another point, In this last batch I used, the KO's were mostly hanging by a thread, like you could pick up a box and read a newspaper through the gaps around the KO's. I don't want to have to push KO's back into place as part of my box mounting procedure. A kid could easily push some of the KO's out of the boxes I just received. It's just not a well made box.
