These tapping screws feature spaced threads and a drill point which drills its own hole. They can be used to attach plywood, soft woods, or composition board to metal, or attaching metal to metal. The large diameter head provides more surface area for holding, which is ideal for fastening metal lath to metal studs, up to 12 gauge thickness.
