Self-Drilling and Tapping Screw, #8 x 1-1/4", Wafer Head

These screws feature an extra wide head, a single lead thread rolled to the tip of an extra sharp point, and a second thread spaced 180 degrees apart. The head is an integrally formed round washer with a low rounded top, approximately 75% of the diameter of the washer. These screws eliminate the need for pre-drilled or pre-punched holes and the head design offers low clearance and an extra large bearing surface. They may be used in thin metal, less than .050 thick.
