Type TC-ER cable is a specialized tray cable designed for exposed runs, meaning it can be installed outside of a cable tray without requiring additional protection. Unlike standard Type TC cable, TC-ER cable is specifically rated for its ability to withstand the impact and crush forces it might encounter in an exposed environment. This allows it to be used in areas where standard TC cable wouldn't be suitable.
